This project was a gift for my family. My father grew up in the Erie area, and we lived there for several years when I was young. The plaque is a 3-dimensional topographical map of Lake Erie. Each individual layer was made by hand in Adobe Illustrator by referencing an existing topographic map. The layers were then exported and laser cut from 1/4″ plywood I had painted prior to cutting.
